Excellent books feed the mind, indeed the humanity, of our children. The Book House is collecting all those books, so your family can feast.
We want our collection to hold every excellent book we can find. We truly mean every and excellent. Then, we want to make it easy for other people to access these books.
We hunt through book fairs, op shops and used book stores to find literary treasure. We collect, we clean, we repair, we catalogue - barcodes, spines labels, online database - and we organise each book so they are easy for you to use.

As parents, we want to nourish our children’s precious minds with the best stories and ideas. We want them to discover that the world is far more interesting than any of us realise; that they themselves are far more interesting than they realise.
But it’s really hard to know where to start when we’re looking for that kind of book.
Our goal at The Book House is to only have those special books. This means you don’t need to know what you’re looking for; you can just pull a pile of books off our shelves and know that you will find something really, really good.
Or perhaps you know some of the books you are after. You have recommendations and booklists, but need to source them inexpensively. You’re likely to find it on our shelves. If we don’t have it yet we will look for it.
